Employment without a break in service,
including all approved leaves of absence with or without pay.Dismissal or voluntary resignation
constitutes a break in continuous service.
Any employee separated due to a
reduction-in-force shall be considered to have continuous service during the
period of separation if re-employed within months from the effective date of separation.
Employees who are transferred, demoted,
or promoted are not considered to have had a break in continuous service.
Credited (any/all employment periods
that can be used to achieve the next annual leave increment rate) service
accrues each month.An employee earns
credited service for each month where he/she is in status for percent or more of the month.
Credited service applies to annual
leave provisions outlined in the Annual Leave policy.
