Re: TIE-BREAKER TEST (Electrical shutdown) Tuesday November 3, 2015
As part of the Electrical Upgrade project, an emergency power shutdown will occur on Monday November 9, 2015.
All facilities will experience two separate shutdowns of emergency power, lasting up to 35 minutes each. The shutdown process will begin at 7 pm Monday. During the shutdown process the ABC and XYZ Departments will be switched to external generator power.
The shutdown will have the following effects:
Departments will experience a loss of emergency power (red plugs and emergency lights) for up to 15 minutes. Note that normal power will be unaffected during the shutdown.
Different areas of ABC and XYZ will have their emergency power and lights switched off at different scheduled times throughout the shutdown period. The Electrical Project Team will contact each affected area just prior to switching their emergency power off to ensure that the area is prepared and ready for their power to be switched.
There will be limited elevator access for the duration of the shutdown period. The following elevators will be functional:
Temporary lighting and extension cords will be set up in affected departments prior to the shutdown.
The Project Team will be located in the boardroom during the shutdown period. You may contact that team with any issues or questions during the shutdown at 555-555-5555.
If you have any questions or concerns about the electrical shutdown, please call John Doe at 555-555-555 or 555-555-5555 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
