Policy Rationale

The Plan enables employees to allocate a portion of their salary to non-taxable funds to an account pay for medical expenses and dependent care expenses not covered under any of the ABC Benefit Plans.


Enrollment in the Flexible Benefits Plan is voluntary and available to all employees.

Responsibility for validating all claims lies with the employee.

Federal law dictates that any unused funds remaining in the account at the claims year-end cannot be returned to the employee, or carried over to the next year.
