1.     POLICY

·         All new employees shall be required to complete “sign-on” documents.

·         Managers are responsible for ensuring that new staff complete the “sign-on” documents.

·         Human Resources support staff will create personnel files for new employees.

2.   PURPOSE

·         To ensure all new employees complete the necessary documentation.

·         To facilitate employee “sign-on” for payroll, occupational health and other related purposes.

3.   PROCEDURES

·         The Manager will forward a completed Employee Advice and Staff Hire Change Form to Human Resources once an offer of employment has been made and accepted by the employee.

·         The Manager will ensure the employee completes all “sign-on” forms the first day of work.  The completed “sign-on” package will be forwarded to Human Resources.

·         Human Resources will ensure the Employee Advice and Staff Hire Change Form is accurate and submit it to Payroll.

·         Human Resources support staff will create a personnel file for the new employee.
