Retirement

POLICY

Employees are not required to retire at any age.

Retirement occurs when an employee:

·         Has a minimum of seven years of regular service and is at least 60 years of age, or;

·         Has a combination of age and years of regular service equal to or greater than 75.

Years of regular service mean calendar years.

PROCEDURE

The employee notifies the Benefits Division of Human Resources at least  months prior to the projected retirement date.  A retirement package will be requested from enter name of retirement plan which will include retirement options, income benefit illustrations, and application forms.
