entitlements are defined in the out of scope terms and conditions of employment
earned in one year and not used in the subsequent year may be carried over to
the following year with the approval of the appropriate General Manager or
to be used as a guide for granting vacation carryover include:
employee could not use vacation credits due to unusual circumstances.
carry-over is planned in advance to allow the employee to take educational
courses or to accommodate special vacation plans.
define the vacation year for all employees.
provide guidelines for managers in the approval of vacation carry-over.
who wish to carry over vacation must make the request to their supervisor in
writing at least weeks prior to the end of the vacation year.
should use the guidelines outlined above when approving requests for leave.
for requests not outlined above may be sought from Human Resources.
